Multiple linksets with a module

We have a module with a linkset created for intra-links.

One user wishes to user the Compare Modules Wizard to compare a module with a previous baseline (giving more information that the Baseline Compare option).

The Module Comparison Wizard seems to permit this, up to the point of specifying a link module for the comparison. As the module already has an intra-link module it won't let him create a new one specifically for this comparison.

It seems to make no difference whether the mandatory flag is set.

Is this possible to achieve.

Thanks

You may have to delete the old linksets or linkmodule to fake DOORS out.

Of course, I was thinking that if I removed the original linkset from the module it would delete the link module, whereas the temporary one could just be crated for the purposes of the comparison and ic an revert back to the original afterwards.

Thanks

If you delete the link-module, you may have to purge -- unfortunately DOORS probably can't be tricked that easy.

Hello,

this should be possible. First to let you know that linksets only exist in link modules. What you are referring to are linkset pairing which are set in the formal module properties.
If the linkset pairing has the option "Mandatory" enabled then the user will not be able to create a new link module for this comparison.
But if Mandatory is un-selected the user will be able to create a new link module (if he has the correct permissions of course).

This sounds like a suitable support case. If you can provided also a screenshot this should be resolved quickly.
